FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Minimum rental period? As a rule, the minimum rental period is 3 days. Our website allows rentals for shorter periods, but this is subject to reconfirmation.
- What is the minimum age to rent a car? The minimum age is 21, with at least 1 year’s driving license. From the age of 21 to 23, there is a young driver fee of 25.00 per rental.
- What is the fuel policy? As a rule, our vehicles are delivered with the deposit topped up and must be returned in the same way. A refueling fee of 15.00 euros may be charged in the event of returning the vehicle with less fuel.
- Can the car cross the border into Spain or other European countries? Our vehicles are only authorized to circulate in Portugal and Spain. Driving in Spain must be previously informed and authorized by Nice Rent. This service has an extra cost of 25.00 euros per rental.
- How do tolls work? Our vehicles are equipped with a freeway crossing control device. This equipment and service costs 6.00 euros per hire. The actual amount of tolls used by the customer will be debited from the deposit card within 15 days of the end of the contract.
- Which payment methods are accepted? Payment can be made in cash (euros), credit or debit card. The client will be required to leave a credit card as a deposit and as a guarantee of good payment of all the expenses inherent in the rental. (deductibles, tolls, fuel, etc.) All credit cards are accepted. Only Visa or Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
- How do I know my booking is confirmed? You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of placing your order.
- How can I change my reservation? Send an email to info@nicerent.pt, with your reservation number and the corresponding change, and you will receive a reply from our services.
- What is the cancellation policy? Nice Rent does not have any penalties in place for cancellations, but would appreciate it if customers could do so as far in advance as possible, so as not to penalize the company.
